Question novarossi or ofna force .32??

Hi all again.

So I'm wanting to know your guys opinion on the ofna force .32 or the novarossi .28 8 port. I'm just wanting to know the basic things about these motors or the company. Like which one puts out more power and lasts long....

Any help will be much appreciated.

This forum is primarily Losi owners and I think you could get s broader answer on a forum such as rctech.net , on there they have separate pages for all differend kinds of cars, kinda like on here but more refined. There is a place just for off road engines with fans of every kind of engine out there, and people from all over. Not just Losi owners suck as here. Just a suggestion.
On a side note. Novarossi all the way. Easier to get parts, And a lot of other reasons

Are you dead set on getting a .32 size engine?

to me i think .28s are just right, good top end and plenty of low end grunt, i dont know if you really want to loose the top end due to a larger displacement engine... I would say NOVI though if your dead set on it.

FWIW im swapping to a picco .28 this week, upgrading from my LRP .28 that was in the truck (sucked in dirt)

The novi is a .28 the ofna is a .32!!!

Here's the novi I'm looking at. The only thing that worries me about the novi is the hp its says 2.87hp. I don't want to down grade for 3 plus hp to 2.87hp. I know that its Probley more tho. What I'm looking for is a motor that has plenty of grunt because I do a lot of hill climbs and full speed runs.

The novi has defiantly caught my eye tho. Well here it is

Let me know what you think of it!!

for 400 bucks im sure its a good engine. Not sure if thats how much i would want to spend on an engine but i doubt you will regret it much

I wouldnt worry about claimed HP numbers, they are just that...claims... I know that some other engines that claim as much as 3 hp only put down 1.2 on a dyno, it would be nice to see engines all dyno'd on the same dyno same day, but that would be expensive for someone to do.

Looks like nice engines either way to me, but i dont know if i have enough info to tell you yay or na on either of them.

I would if its worth the money.
I would much rather spend 300 on a motor than 150 and it be a bad motor! My thing is if I buy this motor i want it to be better than my stock motor that comes in the xxl. You got to admit it it's a nice looking notorious and it looks like its worth it.

I want to know if the novarossi can be assembled or built on xxl directly,
for the engines suits or fits for hpi do not suit for lst usually,
if the engine you like can be used in hpi monster ,it really means you will get trouble in using it on xxl.

Good job there Jordan!

The trucn is looking pretty good. Yea I think I'm going to get a novi for my xxl. I know there kinda steep but I would like to spend 300 on a real good motor than 150 and end up having to replace it!

I was talking to the owner of the hobby shop I go to about novi. He said there one of the best motors out there and trays saying something. He's been in the game since 1985 he also said there Italian racing motors. So I'm going to payday go put down some money on a novi motor!
