Default XXX-SCT

The cats out of the bag.

I'll take two.

And how about a kit of those of us with XXXTs that are setting?

This is very cool....I've been running my Strike and having a great time with it. It's also been competitive. This will be even better!

I posted this on RCTech and RCShortcourse.com, so please forgive me for reproducing it here :

Several "factory" guys are already running the truck and have been for some time now. I can guarantee that by the time the truck is released for sale there will be a laundry list of team driver setups available to the public.

Pictures of Casey's truck have been posted:
www.shortcoursehobbies.com/blog

New Components:
Bumpers F,R
Chassis with Nerfs, Servo brace, Battery Strap
CR-Style Arms (5mm shorter than CR), will accommodate VLA
Reinforced T-plate
12mm Wheel Hexes in Rear
Wheels (very different from the Strike)
Front Axles
Tires
Adjustable Body Mounts (obviously)
Body (#16 Readylift, Clear)

It's very, very competitive out-of-the-box (made me look good going around the track), but I'll let Casey and others speak to it's track prowess.

It's not a race kit, but a lot of work went into this truck to make it race-worthy. I think it will surprise you.

Regards,

Keith H

This is being released under the Losi banner so it is an RTR. Due to the common platform design with the XXX series of cars and trucks you can upgrade it easily to a TLR class product. Graphite nose plate, graphite towers, VLA caster blocks and rear hubs, alum front bulkhead, aluminum rear pivot block, XXX threaded shock bodies, titanium nitrite shock shafts, ect. so there is already a full set of hopups already available for this truck. It works awesome right out of the box though!

I was in on a lot of the testing for this truck and helped with the kit setup. This truck works extremely well out of the box. The new SCT Eclipse tire works remarkably well in all sorts of conditions from indoor clay to wet outdoor. They work pretty darn good as street tires with good wear as well.

Anyone who races SCT this is the truck we have been waiting for. Anyone wanting a great truck to play around with, Losi brings you two great choices now with the strike and the new XXX-SCT!

bout bloody time.

would have been good for losi fans to hear it first on the forums rather than stumble across it on a news site

Any one know if they plan on releasing a version with all upgraded parts?

And what ever happened to the 4 wheel drive short course truck they were working on?

I would say an upgraded full options kit would be in the distant future if they decide to do it at all.

The 4X4 is still in the works. The XXX-SCT was started much earlier then the 4X4. The 4X4 has just been run in public more then the SCT. It is coming......
