i would start with drakes standard setup. i would however get the new v2 truggy shock tower and run the outer hole on the shock tower and the outer lower hole for the camber link. that setup seems to work everywhere

gearing question on using the electric conversion kit in the eight t 2.0 truggy. what center spur gear should i use for the truggy? the 50 tooth spur thay comes with the roller, or the 45 tooth that comes in the electric conversion kit? i have a tekin rx8 esc with a 2000kv truggy motor. im using the 45t spur and 15t pinion now, but run time is between 9-11 mins. im using max amps battery packs. 6500ma 4s 60c. would like to get a litle more run time so i could try to do a 15 min main. thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what your track layout is but on a good size (medium/large) track, I get just a little over 15mins w/ my 8ight-T E 2.0 running a MMM & 2200kv w/ a ThunderPower 4s 5000mah 40c. I am using 15/47 or 48. I grinded down the chassis so I can run metal spur gear.

hey wildchild i have the same motor and gearing as you its close to 40 miles an hour and should be a good all around gearing. As for your run times there is something wrong. I get about 15 min out of a smc 5000 40c battery and you have an extra 1500 mah over my setup I would check to see if your battery is taking close to 6000 mah when charging from dead or see if you have any binding in your drivetrain, look for bearings that might have gone bad.

1st problem is ditch the Maxamp battery. They are overhyped junk batteries. Next what is your timing, punch (current limiter) and start power set to??

Default 8T2.0E

I am looking for the same, I just converted a new 8T2.0 with th elosi conversion kit, i will be adding the adjustible front and rear hinge pins kits and the V2 rear shock tower. I will be running a Tekin 1700KV system on 5S so I need gearing advice and also if it is necessary to increase the weight of the diff oils, shock oils and springs. Thanks in advance.
