Default Losi 10 SCTE RTR ESC??

Does anyone know if part #B9504 (Stock RTR SCTE ESC) is a Manba Max Pro? It looks exactly like one besides the stickers, Hobbiest at my local track say it works on a castle link so is it the same thing? Does it have the same amp or power output? Can I put a high quality castle, Tekin pro4, or other types of motors on this stock ESC? I dont wanna upgrade my ESC If I already have a MMP? So DO I? It is sensored it has the exact same plug in as th MMP Like I said Its Identical except mine has Losi stickers instead of Castle.

Thanks

Yes they are the same. Castle Link is used for both. Depending on your motor it can be sensored or sensorless. The RTR is sensorless.

I was told by my local hobby store guy that they are the same esc just with different stickers. We put them side by side and everything looked identical. So if anything is different it would be internal components.

ok awsome!! So I can upgrade my stock 2800kv Losi motor to a Tekin Pro4 4600kv and the Losi (MMP) Esc will be fine then? Ive seen people run the MMP with Tekin pro4 motors. Thanks for the replies!!

Not sure if its wise, but I've seen some 1/8 electric buggies with the MMP running 4S. If I was going to buy one new, assuming you don't already have one I'd buy the Tekin RX8. More reliable, less prone to "puffing"

If you have the RTR, unless your motor is fried, just keep it. Works great until you burn it up then look at upgrading.

No doubt Losi/Castle have great customer service though.

On the tekin website it says that the pro 4 should be paired or is designed to be paired with the RX8 so be carfull. I myself have done a week of homework on this matter and asking other drivers and it seems you just can't go wrong with the Pro4 with the RX8 so I went ahead an bought that. Now it's time to get my truck together and get it on some dirt.

I'm actually thinking about sticking with a 550 sized motor now I'm looking at the Tekin SC4x 4.5T. I'll probably run that on the Losi MMP and if it gives out I'll upgrade to the Rx8. I've beed reading some good things on SC4X

If you have the stock motor, run it until it dies.
