View Full Version : mlst esc thermal????

i have a mlst2 that is all stock except for the batt which is a dynamite 1600mah with intilect cells.. the problem im having is after about 10 min of running it shuts down and the red led starts flashing and wont turn green unless it sits for 10 min or so.. .what is the problem with the esc

I dont think anything is wrong. its just the thermal protection kicking in.

However, iv had two mlst esc's crap out on me now. just working fine one day, not the next. now im kinda stuck since i have to find an esc that wont die. lol

I have a mini-lst and i can only get 5-7 min. on one battery.Do you run more than that on one battery?No matter what size of mah batt i use its the same

i get about 15-20 min on a dynamite 1600 6cell batt pack with intilect batt.. and i charge my batt at .05 amps I have a mini-lst and i can only get 5-7 min. on one battery.Do you run more than that on one battery?No matter what size of mah batt i use its the same

I run for about 5 min and it shut itself down every time the servos still works but it wont go fwd or rev.

I found that the best bang for teh buck is a Futaba 330 esc. It will handle a 13t 540 size motor and EASILY handle a pair of the 280class motors. I ran one with paired Trinity Cobalt 16t motors and a 2000mah custom 6cell pack for a LONG time before I went brushless. Never heated up once! Best thing is that is it SMALL and can be had for around $70 or less when it goes on sale http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXUY14&P=7

i traded it off for a tcs x-trail chasis
