Ok,

So locally we have a track that has a carpet, indoor off-road track. I've got my 1/18 Desert Truck setup with a Brushless system, DSM, and the standard hop-ups (CVDs, Ball Diff, Dual Slipper, etc). She runs like a beast outside, however, I cannot keep the a$$ end under her when I'm racing on a tight track with carpet.

I'm using foamies, I've treated them with zip grip, I've reduced the steering in Tx. I just cannot keep the back end from sliding out. Anyone else have this issue? Were you able to fix it? I've got a couple of 4WD cars and have no issues on the same track.

Yup I race a Mini-T Pro and Mini-DT Pro :)

Over here in the UK we run rubber tyres, the Losi directional rib front and step pin rear (or taper pin with the spikes cut down) combination works ace on carpet. If you suffer grip role with the rubbers just lightly coat the outer side wall of the front tyres with CA glue and your car will be dialled.

With the foams (I'm guessing your using the Losi Mini-T foams) I could never get enough traction at the rear end unless I moved the weight bias to the rear quite a lot. In the UK tyres additive is banned though for micro racing !

I've got some extra Step Pin / Directionals. I might give that a try! I actually picked up a 4WD Vendetta (sorry Losi) and it hugs like a champ. Love my Mini-DT, but between breaks and butt swag, I am gonna keep this a recreational vehicle.
