Hi Adam,
I'm from Brazil. So, please forgive any possible English mistake.

Ok, so what I want to know is how the 8IGHT clutch works so that I can understand and change my set up when it shows necessary to have the best performance.

So, which shoes must open first? Aluminum or carbon fiber (plastic)? What does that affect on the traction and car acceleration?

What is the graduation between the stronger and the weaker springs (gold, black, green, silver)? How should I combine them? Witch situations?

Please, if possible, give some examples: Best set up (on your opinion) on lossy or hard packed tracks.

Last question: How often do you change clutch bearings?

Keep up the good work!
Thank you in advance

Buggy: I always start with two plastic with black springs and two alum with green springs. This set-up is very smooth and helps put the power to the ground. The plastic shoes will open first and get the buggy moving, then the alum shoes come in and help when the buggy is under load. If you want the clutch to have more punch, just go to green and silve springs. The stiffer springs will engage at a higher RPM.

Truck: I always start with two plastic with green springs and two alum with gold springs.

You can run all plastic shoes if the track is very low bite or all alum for truck, but I prefer to always run two plastic and two alum shoes.

By plastic do you mean the LOSA 9107 Composite Shoes?
