I was wondering if anyone knew when manufactures were going to start making upgrades for this truck. Like alumanum stearing blocks, RPM front a arms, alumanum skid plates, and all that other good stuff.:):):D

I have noticed that RPM pretty much makes most upgrades for Traxxas and Associated. As a matter of fact non of the hop up companies that I know of make hop ups for any of the Losi newer vehicles. I wonder why. RPM, STRC for some reason are just making stuff for AE and Traxxas pretty much.

RPM used to make more parts for Losi vehicles but only like 3 parts now . I think it is because you really don`t need much upgrades at all . Second , Losi had started making their own upgrades a few years ago .
Some aluminum parts are good but have to watch what to get . You need a weak point somewhere . Putting aluminum steering blocks or hubs will just cause other damage instead of those parts . Blocks and hubs are usually much cheaper then arms or towers .

i have been doing some research on the losi site and i have found a lot of the parts are pretty interchangeable thru the models.
we have a high roller which uses the same frame as the strike and they share some of the same parts. i recently snapped a a-arm on our losi desert truck and since the high roller is down with a broken pivot block i borrowed a a-arm from it to repair the desert truck.
here are some pics to compair them.
broken desert truck arm is on the top. high roller donor arm on the bottom. basically the same arm with small differnces, the highroller mounts it shock differently but the block can be removed so it can mount in the center of the arm like the desert truck arm.

the caster blocks on the high roller only have two slots where the desert truck has three, but the desert truck mounts in the middle so because the part will be going back on the high roller i didnt swap the caster blocks i just used them as is.

the desert truck shares the same frame as the xxx-t truck so its a-arms will work on it. they dont have alumimum a-arms for the desert truck but they do for the highroller. since the highroller and desert truck arms are the same i figure i can use a set of those on the desert truck. but researching the xxx-t truck it uses a graphite a-arm, and is $9.99, the aluminum a-arms are $37.99, i can order 4 sets of the graphite arms for the same price. i get upgraded arms and i also get three backups.
you may want to research other losi trucks that parts may interchange with the strike. i am going to upgrade my parts to the xxx-t parts as the break. i also order 2 of whatever breaks so i then have a back up.
just my 2 cents.
