Dude, The best thing to do is put some skid plates on the back. They come in three packs and bolt right on.

Is there any part number on this skidplate to the 8b 2.0?

This is what I use on my 8T. They won't last very long but diffinetly will prolong the life of the chassis.

Skid Plates are ok I guess, but be sure to change them often. Sometimes when when they get worn out they well bend over and scrape the face of jumps. I myself don't run them but I know people that do. Honestly imo, by the time you swap out skid plates and have one bend over on you in a race its better to just replace the chassis when needed.

Good point. Also, you should measure your ride height off of the original chassis not the skid plate.
BRETMASTERJ,
You should replace you chassis when you hit approximately .5mm.

Too right about the skids bending over. I was having a big problem last race with my buggy going nose down on every jump. Turned out I had a 5mm scoop in the rear. :)
I'll still run DE skids, just replace them more often, as I like the extended life they give me. I have 8 races and lots of practice on my truggy, an still plenty of life left.

I usually replace when the rear diff screws hang out of the bottom of the chassis. I don't run skid plates for several reasons. They always seem to bend at the wrong time, regardless of when you replace them and they can affect the attitude of the car when going off jumps or through the ruff stuff.
