Hi all, I'm Fabio from Italy.
Excuse me for my bad english, so I want to ask about a problem on my Losi 8ight 2.0.
I often destroy "rod ends" on front and rear camber turnbuckles. I assemble it with attention and correctly, but after race or training day, my camber is totally modified. The "rod ends" are all in, with destroyed edging.
Often in summer; in winter some training sessions with no problems. I think turnbuckle edging is a little bit small for "rod ends" or plastic is soft for sollecitations.
I'm not a champ but I drive not bad, with no landing crashes and just some errors.

I try to ask for it in Italy, but for now, the solutions are "Lunsford turnbuckles", "Losi8ight 1 turnbuckles" or "Xray 808 thurnbuckle kit with xray rod ends".

Have you found this problem on 8ight 2.0 in USA ?

Thank you.

We have had the same problem here in the US, I use the Lunsford turnbuckels and have had no problems. The stock 2.0 buggy ones don't have the treads cut deep enough. Hope this helps.:D

Buy new link's...its like Robert "Wick" Wickham said the threads were dull compared to what it should be.....if you buy a new set they should be just fine....Some of the 2.0's just came like that unfortunately.

Incredibly, after a lot of time, rod ends still fail. I bought new EU rod ends and new titanium losi turnbuckles. Nothing at all ! With hot weather still gets damaged.:mad:

More than 3 bags of rod ends in the trash. Final result, rod ends and turnbuckles of xray 808 again on my 8ightB 2.0 and auction to resell losi titanium turnbuckles.
Unbelievable that Losi has not made rod ends with a smaller hole diameter or with a efficient tunrbuckles thread .:confused:
In south Italy, many 8ight users install 808 components.

N.B This is not a polemic, but a friendly criticism from a future sure buyer of Losi buggy 8ight 3.0, 8ight 4.0 and beyond. :D:D:D

Sorry to hear your having such an issue Ayrol, I can honestly say in 3+ years ive never once had a Rod end strip out on me...If the 808 stuff works for ya, Rock it...there's a lot of other mfg parts that fit our car's and there's no reason why you cant upgrade something you feel works better for you. :)

:):) Ok TrU Integra. Probably it's only the warm weather in south Italy that determines the difference between your tie rods and mine.

So only,:o:o:o:o:o please , please , please..... give a small shot of cnc boring machine to the tie rods molds before you start projects of 8ight 3.0. Just a little bit
Might be a good thing for everyone, even those who have never had problems :D:D:D:D:D

Have a nice day.

P.S When can I book losi 8ight 3.0 :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D: ??
