Hi Adam.

I’m going to drive Xray buggy next year, but loves your set-up videos on YouTube.com.

One thing: When you measure the droop, you measure the length of the shocks. I find it not that accurate. If you use the Hudy way, where the car stands on two 30 mm blocks (or rims), and then measure the distance from the thread on the wheel nut to the ground, it is possible to set the droop exactly the same on the right and left wheels..

I’ve tested it on a Losi truggy and found a difference of 4 mm from left to right rear wheel nut, even though the length of the shocks was “identical”.

Well, uh, i guess he won the Nats with his droop off 4mm. Maybe you have worn out parts in your suspension making Drakes method not work for your car.

Hi.

Have you tried it on your own car(s)?

And no, both cars were in perfect condition :)

I know those measurements is not that critical on buggies and truggies compared to eg. 1/8 on-road cars.
Why not make the measurement 100% correct in first attempt?... :)

I don't use a set-up board for my off road cars. The way I meassure the droop is very easy and I feel very consistent.

Hi.

That's cool, Adam. Just wanted to share my thoughts.

Keep up the good work. You are an enspiration to many RC drivers :)

Cheers
