I have a new Strike. The ESC is acting up. Forward is not proportional...touch the trigger and you're wide open! Reverse won't work at all. I've been through bind, calibration, mode, batt mode...several times. I cannot make it work. Any suggestions? I haven't got a full pack run on it...it's new.

Regards, Jim.

Update.....just talked to support and they are sending out a replacement ESC!!! You can't ask for more than that! It was my first experience with their support, and I was very satisfied with the outcome. At least they are making an effort to resolve my issue.

Regards, Jim.

i just purchased a brand new Highroller and a brand new Desert Truck on saturday, the DT burnt up the speed controller the first day, the Highroller burnt up today.

i put a cheapo $25 duratrax ESC in the DT and it at least lastested longer then the losi one. after spending close to $600 on RTR losi trucks i am pretty dissappointed to say the least.

What battery was in the DT? That esc is only good for a 6 cell. Losi is good about replacing things! Chris

running 7.2 nimh 3000mah onyx 6 cell stick packs. battery packs are new. i just figure its excuse to go brushless.

as far as losi replacing the ESC i figure if these burned up so would the replacements so why even mess with it. i guess it would be ok to have laying around as a backup or something, i may contact them who knows.

that el-cheapo duratrax one i picked up a my LHS can run up to 8.4 7 cell packs so for now it works fine. i can pick up two of them for the price of a losi one and so far its lasted twice as long. granted we are only day three but it lasted longer then ONE day at least.

its all good, i knew the HR was a cheap truck but come on.....:p

here is a shot of the duratrax cheapo $25 esc i picked up at my LHS. according to the instructions is only rated for 20-25 turn stock motors but so far hasnt had any issues running the stock 12T motor. the speed controller and motor dont get over hot so for $25 it works.

I have run about 10 - 5000 mah nihm batteries through my truck thus far all great except for now, when i hit the gas the light on the esc comes on green but nothing happens, i have rebound it 2 times, looked for any breaks in the cable no go there, motor connections are all strong the motor works fine in my dads strike, steering servo works fine too, any ideas? I have emailed horizon hobby with no response as of yet.
