Two things I'd like Losi techs to answer;

1. I just ordered a new 2100kv motor as a spare for my Losi 8ight E and noticed in the manual that came with it that a 13T pinion gear is recommended for use in a buggy with a 4s battery. This contradicts other documents by Losi and the rig comes with a 15T installed and recommend using a 4S battery. What is the right pinion to use with the 2.0 E buggy with a 4S battery?

2. I had to replace a spur gear in my car and when reinstalling the motor I couldn't remember which color wire goes to which connector on the ESC so I looked at some of the photos online since there are NO instruction in the manual (obvious oversight). Well, if you hook it up as per the pictures on the Losi website the motor runs in reverse. Obviously the "model" for the photos shoot wasn't vetted too well.

To reverse the direction swap any two wires

Yeah, I got that part figured out. My point was that the Losi website pics are bass-ackwards and there are no instructions in the manual as to which terminal from the ESC goes to which terminal on the motor. Seems kinda like a blatant miss.

1) The decision was made to use the 15T or 16T pinion on the 8IGHT-E 2.0 to insure that it had good performance out of the box for a wide range of uses. The motor manual takes a more conservative approach to recommending gearing. As stated in the manual, you should always monitor temperatures of the ESC and Motor for any size, and type of track. Never exceed 190F - 205F or the motor could be damaged.

2) The motor manual states that the ESC must be connected to the motor with one lead to each tab and that if the motor runs in the opposite direction desired, unplug any two motor wires, reverse the location and plug back together. I apologize for the confusion regarding the pictures on our website.
