So I just got one of these to play around with, and need some info that I can't seem to find.

1. Will the Stock ESC/RX combo thing work with a LiPo?
(I do plan on going Brushless, and I know those will, but until then...)

2. Anyone know of a Zippy or Rhino (I.E. Hobbycity battery) that will fit, and
can you provide a link? (I have no way to measure MM to get the battery dims.)

3. Other than the ESC/RX unit, is there anything else I need to change to go Brushless?
Will the stock gears handle the power?

4. Any other must have upgrades that I may not have thought about?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Hey Alli ill do my best to answer your questions for you.

1: the stock ESC/Reciever combo should work with a Lipo however since there isnt a Lipo cut off on it you might want to wait untill you go brushless.

2: Im not really sure what a zippy or a rhino is but here is a link to the Lipo battery that i use in my Mini-t.

The price is right and honestly i cant imagine going up anymore volts with a brushless system it is uncontrollably fast.

3: Besides the ESC motor combo and a new radio/reciever you will also need to buy a new servo. The stock Mini-T ones dont have the 3 prong plugs unless you have a limited edition Mini-t. However a new mini servo is only like 13 bucks.

As far as gears go when you put in the new motor you will need to install a new pinion gear which will be metal. As long as the gear mesh is set right with the stock spur, there shouldnt be any issues, I havent had any.

4: If you are planning on putting in all of these upgrades and are going to be driving this car on the street i recommend a wheelie bar and some alumminum wheel hubs. The only thing i seem to break on my Mini-t are the rear wheel hubs.

Hope all of this helped you. -Jamie-
