Hi all,

A while back I purchaced an Xcelorin esc off another rc classifieds site. It came naked, no wires, switch, etc. I've added all that and gotten as far as wiring up the motor last night.

I'm completely new to Lipo and brushless, although I've been around the hobby for several years.

When I hooked up the battery and flipped the switch nothing happened. No LED's light or blink... nothing. Am I overlooking something? Was planning on using the card to setup, but nothing happens when I plug and turn on. I charged the batter, so I assume it is working.

Any help is very appreciated!

Lft... I would try using another battery first. I was working on a plane for my dad and had the same problem. He damaged the battery while I was away and did not realize it. If the battery swap does not correct the problem then the esc is defective.

Will look into that.

Does Losi still service these esc's?

Not too sure... I think so because I have seen them in Losi rtr models.

I talked to support at Horizon. He asked if I had the receiver wire plugged into the throttle port on the receiver. I said... Wait, throttle port? I plugged it into the battery port thinking that would be the power source. Could this be the whole problem?

Worth a try. Losi SR300T RX is powered through the throttle port. But you'd think if it said battery port...........

This may be the problem. When you run electric you do not use the battery terminal on your receiver. The electronics are powered by you pack through the throttle port. For nitro, you use a receiver pack and then it goes to battery on the receiver. You might be ok after the swap.
