brushed motor/brushless esc

this question is probably old news, but can u run a brushed motor with a 60a brushless speed control? using 3s lipo batts. and a 12t trinity motor, wana be able to run with slower trucks.

Only if the speed control specifically states it can run brushed motors. For example the Novak Havoc = http://www.towerhobbies.com/products/novak/novm1733.html

Another thing is that a 3s LiPo is going to roast a brushed motor.. like running more than 9 sub-c cells! If your speed control has a setting for brushed and you are able to wire it correctly, it will work... but almost not worth it.. just get the appropriate brushless and run it!
