I have an 1/18th scale late model and race on a banked dirt oval 15ft straights and banked turns! Just got into this 2 yrs ago and learning on the fly. I'm racing against 3 other pro's, need all the help i can get! Just purchased a Castle Creations sidewinder 1/18th scale micro 6800Kv ESC/Motor Combo with a Venom 20C 7.4V 2000mAh 2S LiPo for 1/16 Revo- Slash! That's what the other guys are running! We also are converting from the late model body to the dirt modified body! Should i change the tranny gears to aluminum and or the pinion ? Any other suggestions? Thanks Andy, love the Herculoids too, LOL:D

Def change the pinion to a metal pinion.
As for the internal transmission gears, I would suggest either going to the metal gear set or the ball diff. I personally use the metal gear set, because it has MUCH less rolling resistance than the ball diff.
