Instead of when you lift up your truck and spin one tire and the other tire spinning the opposite way they both spin the same direction and the reason why people do this is because it will help you gain a some traction

Locking diffs is only good if your running low speeds. If you want a semi locked diff while still running an 'open' diff action, using heavy diff fluid will lock it and simulate locked diffs at lower speeds, and still benefit the diff action at higher speeds.
