ok so ive got a dt that a buddy of mine gave to me. all its missin is a battery but i cant find out what type of battery to get. ive been lookin around maxamps.com and im thinkin bout gettin the nimh 5000 7 cell 8.4v flat pack. but idk if its compatible with my esc and motor. this is my electronics spec:
losi mrx -3000 reciever with spektrum 2.4 ghz dsm
8t racing (with reverse) intelispeed esc
and a venom fireball modified 13d.

would this be an ok setup with the battery im lookin at?
oh and ive also got the stock esc that was in it. the losi 12t reversing esc.
please give tips and advice to any changes i should make. like i said im new to the rc world.

you should be able to get the battery pack if your your using the other esc, not the stock one because the stock one can only take 7.2v, im pretty shour but you should see what other people say cuase not possitite

i have a dt and 7 cell flat doesn't fit in stock location 6 cell fit tight with wires pushed sideways to fit cover on top of battery.I put a 8.4 in mine with stock esc and it burned the wires and stop working(didn't check voltage of esc before).

ok well ive got two sixs a friend gave me. a dynamite n a venom. the venom is ok but doesnt last long at all. im gonna upgrade to a brushless motor and esc combo kit with lipo battery what are your recomendations for fast speed and high torque. and where can i get some metal gears cuz the large one under the gear cover keeps shredding out. i went through two in like 6 hours. now i have it rigged up with a rustler setup but my gear cover wont fit now.
