I've been experimenting again with my setup lately, and I'm very happy with the end result. Here's what I'm running now.

Here's a few of the changes I made to the rig to improve performance
First off, I removed the battery and ESC plates and mounted everything to my upper links. The plates are just styrene squares zip-tied to the links. Be careful not to overtighten the ties and bind the suspension.

I also outboarded my rear shocks to reduce body roll and give the rig a little bit more stability. Be sure to space out the upper shock mount as well to keep everything free on flex.

That's about it... There isn't much work involved to take an out-of-the-box LCC and turn it into a world class competition rig. Take this setup as a starting point and tune to your driving style. Most of all, get out there and practice!

Hey Jake!
Thanks for taking the suggestion of a fellow member and posting how you set up your rig.
It's especially helpful for someone like me who is limited in resources in this part of the country.
Thanks to Losi forum, RC Crawler.com's bulletin and countless others on the internet (this is a big world!) for helping all of us.

I actually put a slightly larger limiter on the driver's side front shock to keep the link out of the driveshaft.
For limiters, I just used nitro fuel tubing and cut it to length.

Thanks Jake. A couple of other questions: 1. My front tires are occasiaonally hitting the shock springs when I turn to the limits and am at an off camber angle. Do you have this problem with your setup? Or should I just learn to drive so I don't hit the springs? :) 2. I presume you had to move your body up and/or trim the body to keep the tires from hitting it in certain situations?

I use a small washer in between the front wheels and the wheel hex to widen the front slightly. It helps keep the tire out of the spring. They still rub a little bit, but its not too bad.
With comp claws I did have to trim the body to clear the tire though.
