people keep posting issues with the 8ight-e 2.0, are these from serious racing like taking it out everyday to the racetrack and going nuts, or are these frompeople who drive it around in the front yard and occasionally go to the race track.

Are you referring to issues with the ESC? I know three guys all racers that do not bash, that have had issues with their ESC's, one more than once. But don't fret, my "other brand" has had multiple issues as well in my 2.0e racing only.

I had mine running for about five minutes before the esc died. I didn't get time to race or do much bashing with it. :(

Most problems that I have exhibited and read about have been due to bad firmware releases. Most of the issues have been corrected a few days later by a new release of firmware so there does seem to be a quick response time with the programming of errors in the firmware. This is a positive.

Since it has been raining a lot, I have not been able to test my new 8E 2.0 very much other than zipping up and down the street when the street dries off for a few hours. The tracks are just full of puddles so I have not been able to put this baby to the test yet.

My only wish is that older, more stable firmware versions should be available for download so that users can "downgrade" to the previous version if the new version of firmware contained a bug that effects the proper function of the ESC.
