With the 8IGHT 2.0 we released new aluminum hubs a few months back. These are made out of 7075 aluminum and have a great hard anodized finish. For those technical guru's there is always the concern of unsprung weight and the fact you don't want to add weight to your suspension. During the designing of this part we made sure to make the aluminum hubs as light as possible without sacrificing durability. So the numbers are in:

Two plastic hubs total 24.4g

The aluminum hubs are awesome. The won't break and they look dialed. I did not feel any difference in the way my car handled switching from plastic to aluminum hubs.

what about the front end guys? I know with the 1.0 the aluminum gave you more steering throw, but since the redesign of 2.0 I wasn't sure if that has change.

Do you run the Alum or plastic? I like the alum hub carriers because of the vertical ball studs.

I have been running the Allum on the Truggy since part was released and I love them. Could not tell any difference.

Still run the plastics on the Buggy! (mainly because I am still waiting for the plastics ones to wear out)

They work great. I have also noticed longer bearing life. Keep up the good work guys.
