if your stripping spur gears your slipper might be too tight, ive had no problems with mine, im running the stock spur gear with a 15t pinion and a 8.5t brushless system, i have replaced the idler gear with the alum one, im also looking at getting the steal gears.

POS ? Usually stripped spurs are from user error like slipper to tight , gear mesh , or motor moves . Calling it a POS is a bit out of place .

Beyond the gear mesh notes already posted (and this is usually the source of the problem), I must agree with the comment about the slipper...
With a gear diff, there is absolutely ZERO "give" in the drive train -- under stress, "something" has to "give". There will always be a weak-link -- it is supposed to be the slipper. That is what the slipper is there for, but I see guys tightening the slipper so they can get bigger wheelies or whatever, or the simply neglect the slipper and don't adjust it. With a tight slipper, only the gear teeth can "give", and a steel pinion on a plastic spur says the spur will lose the battle.

If you have the slipper set correctly and there is no damage occuring internally, then check the armature in the motor....it may be bent slightly...that would be enough to do it.
