How are you combating the problem of not having instant reverse?

If what I've read is correct, that's the major issue trying to be worked into the firmware before the official rock crawling 21.5t Xcelorin combo is released.

What we've found and a few others is you do have instant reverse just not full throttle to full throttle. On the Xcelorin when your going up a steep climb and you see the front pick up and want to fall over backwards you'll have instant reverse. For some reason when using hardly any throttle you can slap the throttle back and forth and get what you need. But on the other side when rocking to get back on your wheels from a rollover, using full throttle slapping back and forth will not do the same. I just do a rollover take the 5 points and make sure I finish the course in time. But if it's your last five points, it's all or nothing to get back on your wheels.

That's doesn't seem so bad. I've never had any luck flipping myself back over by throttling it back and forth anyhow. LOL

But correct me if I'm wrong...this issue you're describing is what they are trying to resolve before it's released?

Yes this is just an issue on the prototypes. Unfortunately there is no way currently on the Xcelorin ESC to have instant forward/reverse right now. We're working hard to get a few bugs out of the system so that we can get it released.

Also note that we have to versions of the 21.5 that is coming out. The one you will want for the Comp Crawler is the 21.5 Crawler motor LOSB9445. These have a larger rotor than the standard 21.5.

I know you guys are working hard! I appreciate the update.

Is this the part#LOSB9585 for the combo I should pray each night for. To make the bugs go away and get released? :D

Will the bigger rotor that will come in the crawler 21.5 motor be available seperately???
I am currently running the 17.5 sensored motor and might like the added torque of the tighter tolerances of the larger rotor, although I've had no troubles so far anyways.
Thanks, ttfn

Yup that's the one.

As for the rotor, at this point I don't see it listed, but I'll mention it to the product manager.

Still hoping this is released soon. I'd love to play with my LCC...right now it's just a shelf queen. :(
