front spindles....to shim or not....

casey......on my 8T 2.0 roller, i've got some(approx 8mm) of "up/down" spindle play where the pivot pins connect it to the spindle carrier. a 8mm washer takes all the play out. just seems that 8mm is alot of play....is it a good idea to SHIM out the up/down play..??

It's best to have a LITTLE slop.....1-1.5mm MAX.....but make sure that the right and left are shimmed equally!

BIG OOPS.......ment .8mm shim......not 8mm.........either way, the .8mm shim takes just bout all the up/down play that the spindle has in the carrier.........just wondering is this is better than leaving the play in. the shim DOES NOT impede the steering at all.....
