the rear end of the 2.0 buggy goes balistic in the ruts if i hit a slight bump it becomes realy twitchy almost goin end over and want to jump about, the track is rutty really rutty almost like the surface of the moon the buggy just does not glide over the ruts the way i would like its like a bucking bronco im running 25 in the rear 56 pistons with every other hole drilled to 55 silver springs all round and the normal droop, any ideas

I had this issue with mine with the Adam Drake Std. Setup. What mine was doing was when the track got dusty the rear was all over on the straights and in the whoops the rear would kick way up. What I did was move my rear shocks to the farthest hole inside on the top mount. Angled the most and then adjusted my ride height to level front and rear (27mm all around) The track was dusty all day yesterday and it seemed to suit my driving style a lot better. Another thing I did was move my rear camber links to Middle on the tower and D on the carrier (far outside hole), then lengthened them back out to -1degree. What it felt like to me was with the longer links it slowed the suspension down in the rear so it wasn't as twitchy. Mine felt like if you had to barely correct the steering on a straight the rear would slide all over and the longer bars slowed the suspension so when minor corrections had to be made it didn't react in the rear as much.
These 3 changes made the rear end of my buggy feel more forgiving as well as have a little more rear traction which allowed me to add rear brake and into 180 turns faster as well as on the gas sooner without worrying where the rear end was going.

You can also change out the rear wheel hexes to longer ones. This has worked wonders for a lot of people. I have only done the rears but there are people changing out all 4 wheels.

I heard some people run no sway bars on rough tracks
I personally haven't tried it because I've only been to one bumpy track.

Also check the rear sway bar and make sure that the 2 set screws are loose so that there is movement on the bar if you decided to run it with it on.

Losini,
You can also try changing the rear block to the 3 degree toe and the 2 degree anti squat. Hope this helped.

thx for the replys friends, i will give some of your suggestions a go, does anone have a problem with the away bar mount caps for some reason my threads always go were the mount caps screw into the gearbox then when u tighten the grubs that stiffen the sway bar the mounting caps pop outwards as the threads in the gearbox have run, this has happened me on both my losi's 1.0 and 2.0

I had the same problems on a very rooty track last race weekend. i tryed a lot with a lot of set ups, nothing realy helped. In the and I tryed with PROLINE REVOLVER V3 tyres m2 compound, front and rear., and the car was fantastic. Also i put 2mm offset hubs front and rear. front camber -1 rear -2
, rear suspension with 25 oil and silver springs 29mm from the ground, front susp. 35 oil with silver springs 27mm from the ground.front diff 7.000,center 5.000, rear 3.000.
Dont know what kind of track you are running on, but in my case the right tyres were the ticket.
Hope this helps, regards Andraz

Sounds like your oil might be to light out back if it's bucking (provided it's not packing which I doubt with 25).
put Drakes ROAR setup on & forget about it.

The greens are harder than the silver ones.

Drakes set up is good for that track he used it on but not everybody relizes that nobody but drake can drive his set up like he can. Every one is different and require different things to make it better for us personally. All drake truhe fisher peck have different setups. You need to to pick one as a starting point then personalize it from their . Not trying to be rude but you cannt put drakes set up on and shave 10 seconds a lap off your run. Just my 2 cents

losini I think your doing the sway bar screws and grub screws up to tight.
There is virtually no force pushing the sway bar back so the screws into the gearbox only need to be snug not tight. And also the grub screws are only there to take up the slop and shouldn't bind the movement of the sway bar in any way
