How to update your Xcelorin speed control

To update your speed control you will need to go to the link below. Please see link to software instructions. (Please Read) At this point it will take you to the Xcelorin download page. This site has everything you need to update your speed control. The first thing you want to download is the Xcelorin software setup program. This will allow you to read your speed control and make setup changes. If you already have done this make sure you are using Version 2.0. If you don't have version 2.0 uninstall the old version and download version 2.0. Once you have done this scroll down on the Xcelorin download page and find the speed control that you use. Once you have found the speed control you are using, you will notice under the description the latest version of software. If you right click on that link you can (Save As). Save the update somewhere you can find it easily. Now that you have the update saved, open the setup software from your desktop and plug your speed control into your computer. On the bottom of the setup page you will see update software button. Click the button and go to the updated version you saved. Once you have done that it will take a couple of minutes to download. Once download is complete click read settings and you are done.

To check what version of PC Setup Software you are using, click on the About tab on the right side of the screen in the PC Setup Software. The version will be displayed on this page.

Hello I'm a new member and I can't install my setup CD. My error say that I have not been authorized access to this item. My Xelorin setup software is blank and when I connect my usb cable and adapter the connection status stays red.
I don't know what the do now...

Aduke,go to the losi website and download the newest version(3.0)just follow the instructions and you will be fine...Its under support and then Xcelorin downloads.

try running the setup using the Run as Admin on the drop down menu when u right click on it.
if your on a 64bit version of windows might be out of luck for the time being.

so what is the purpose of updating the ESC. i have the latest version installed on my laptop, but cant connect to the esc because of usb problems with windows 7 and the software (another story) but if there is no problems with the esc and motor you are running why would you need to update the firmware? i am very new to brushless and programable esc's so just trying to get in the "know"

I can't get mine to work with Windows 7 either. What do I need to do?

post if you find something, I have not had any luck yet. I have seen some links to get the right driver but they have been bad or do not have the correct download. and I'm tired of downloading things to my laptop that MIGHT work. I think I'll just wait until Losi comes out with the correct software, until then I just use the quick card.

Sell your new window 7 compy and buy an old XP, only joking!!

There is no move from Losi to do anything about new software, look around the forum and you will see that many posts are written about this issue, and this for a long long time...

It is a shame and something quite unbelievable that a product is sold from a company like Losi with no real back up or update, and by the way I am still waiting on someone from Losi to comment my numerous posts around the forum complaining about no support, I have not been able to set up the software properly on 3 compy (all XP), and the only one that worked eventually was nicked on me!

So now I have window 7 and no setup possible for my speedo except through the card.

Most of the time it does not recognised the USB cable or speedo when connected, I have spent hours trying with no success.

And by the way I bought a Tekin RS pro for my DTM (10.5t) and will use my new replacement Xcel in my buggy soon with a 6.5t or 5.5t
