Iffy Diffy

Hi Guys

Just went to rebuild my diff on my cr.

Its had almost a total new diff...

New Diff plates
New thrust race
New diff gear
New vampire diff balls
New diff nut.

Only thing that is still out of the old diff are the outdrives diff screw, bearings and spring.

I built it as i normally do but when i tighten it i have to tigten it alot to set it right and when i finally get it to the stage where it is right the diff action is tight and a not smooth.

HELP!!!

Any Advice welcome.

If you had to tighten it more then normal you might need a new spring . Is it possible the diff balls or thrust got flat spots when tightening more then normal ?

I was worried about this but i havent locked it. I always work from loose then tighten it a touch at a time. I havent tigtenned it tha much.

Ill strip it again tommorow put a new spring in and see if it was just me being tired.

The best thing you can do when building a diff is take you time.
If you do that will all new parts the diff should be awesome!!!:)
