Spektrum Servo in Losi Nightcrawler problems

Hey all,
Losi Nightcrawler in question here, 2.4GHz DSM

I broke the original steering box in the rocks so I purchased a Spektrum S6040 digital servo to replace it.
It worked great for about 5 days. Now i'm losing control of the vehicle, example... moving forward, it will just go in reverse and keep going or get all jerky back and forth. When turning, I'll lose control as well and the truck continues to move on it's own. There is also some lag time or no movement when starting from a stop.

I've rebound the receiver and truck, cleaned my wire connections.

I'm at a loss on what to check next. Any suggestions? Can the new steering servo affect the throttle servo?

Are you running another servo with it, I know this might be a stupid question.

No, no other servo. The rest of the truck is stock as far as the electronics go.

hey i had same problem with night crawler and high torque spectrum servo if i jiggled steering it would just run in revers like crazy.. steering would twitch. i ended up replacing servo with a jr sport high torque servo. i have the new servo in it for about a year and i have had no problems.... hope it helps :D
