Im changinging my LSt2 over to a XXL finally broke the chassis. Anyway I am wondering if anyone on the forum has done the muggy conversion on the XXL. If so any thoughts on it. I have all the parts to do the conversion. Except the rear wing which I have found that ddp is no longer in business so any info on the wing mount would be great. I am looking to purchase the mount if anyone has it for sale let me know. Thanks in advance

Thanks for the site. I am bulding a better basher and a racer I run at the local track alot right know it is to cold to run outdoors so I go indoors and run 10 scale. When it warms up I go back outside and run 1/8 and monster truck. I test run my LST and Muggy agaist buggies and truggies and watch them cry when I drive past them. Loved it in the straights when second gear would kick in I would just walk on by them.

If your going to doing some racing most of the time. I would recommend some carbon fiber too keep the weigh down on the truck. Is reverse a must for you?? Because that sigh has a forward gear only kit for the lst2 and xxl. They also have all metal gears from the slipper clutch too the two speed set up that might be nice less problems maby.
Me myself I use my xxl to go nuts with. I'm Probley going to buy the aluminum hub carriers and shock towers. Also the aluminum shocks. The one I know I'm going to buy besides the shock towers is the aluminum body mounts because the ones I have are nubs from sliding on its roof on the streets lol. I'm going to keep the a arms stock because the people who put aluminum a arms on there trucks and use it for bashing are not that smart. I would much rather break then bend a a arm.
Put some pics up of your build so we can see how its coming along??

Do you have a first gen LST with the high low selector??????????????? i would trade my aftershock tranny (forward only 2 speed from factory) for it. i need that low gear for sled pulling if you wanna trade!

I have had the aluminum hub carriers in the past and I have broken them or bent them up. I switched back to the plastic it's cheaper. I hav eall of the carbon fiber for the LST2 and I plan on switching it over I believe it is all the same size. I have a forward only conversion in my LST2 now. I am changing over to brushless so I am putting in the XXL tranny with reverse. I will post pics in the next couple weeks I have to go out of town for work so eveything is all spread out on my work bench. The aluminum shocks are nice but they add weight to the truck and for the aluminum shock towers they will bend if you have a bad crash. I wasted alot of money on aluminum parts. I was told by a Losi racer that aluminum looks good but if it's aluminum you will change it because it has no give just bend.

I do not have that tranny but you can go on e-bay and find a XXL tranny look up Jenny rc I got mine from there I paid 20 dollars plus shipping. They have a huge selection there and they are great people with good prices. I have also seen on e-bay a few first gen LST on their for about 100.

Yes lst2 and xxl parts are the same size. Are you going to be tuning it into a single speed setup on your truck since your going brushless??
The reason I'm doing some aluminum is to make the plastic a lil bit stronger. The aluminum will be the strong points of the truck and will help save the a arms and others from even more damage. I do know I'm not going to put aluminum a arms on the truck because its been proven people who bash and run aluminum a arms bend and eventually break them. That's why I'm keeping my a arms stock and only doing the shock towers shocks and c hub in aluminum..

Yes I will be doing the single speed set up. Rpm makes a good product I have found it to be very durable for both racing and bashing.

well good luck on that. I was also thinking that you might try to build a straight shaft from front to back with a gear on the middle since you will only have one speed. Just a thought
