ok ive got a basic aftershock with a 18t pinion, JP-1 pipe, solid rear suspintion, a rear diff spool, and 80wt oil in the front shocks. im building the truck to sled pull and i need openions on my ideas and wishes for the truck.
#1 Im going to run T-maxx tires on aftershock rims for the looks of the tire, im going to cut the tire tread down ALOT there might be 1/16th of an inch of tread left. Question is will my truck spin with this tire set up? i want it to spin from take off to stop.
#2 Im going to adjust the 2 speed to where it will have to rev long and hard to shift into second, this is to asure that i hit my peak rpm and second gear doesnt come in mid rpm and kill all my power.
#3 my freind seaid i need a JP-1 pipe becaues there wicked for bouttem end tourqe, i borrowed one and hes right its wicked ive brooke a dog bone with it. Question is, bouttem end pipes make power at low rpms. if im spining those cut tmaxx tires, in second gear then wouldnt it make more sense to have a top end pipe becaues my rpms will be very high?
#4 im curently using a mach .26, its geting ready to need to be replaced and our rules for sled pulling is the cubic inch is limited to a maximum of .28 Question is whats a good powerful .28 that wont break the bank? lets face it, im a freshman in high school trying to have fun i need it to be as economical as possible.
