Hiya Guys,

I am still new to the Electric Class of RC Racing but im getting to grips with the setups now.

I just have a question i would like to ask about LiPo batteries.

Can someone confirm is this is correct for me.

Parallel:
you can make 2 x 5000mAh 14.8v 3S1P packs into a single 10,000mAh 14.8v 3S2P pack

Series:
2x 7.4V, 1500mAh batteries can be connected to make a single 14.8V, 1500mAh pack

Which would increase run times ?

Thanks
Ben

3s2p=11.1v

and yes you are correct the MAH rating determins your run time the higher mah = longer run times

Parallel will increase your runtimes. Series will give you more power, punch and possibly top speed. If you are running 1/10th scale I would stick to one battery pack. Because 3S is a ton of power for 1/10th.

You might be better off going with a lower C battery if your goal is Run time. The higher the C the faster it drains, and more power it puts down.

I dont think you would be able to make 30 min with 2 5000 MAH ,but theres only one way to find out.

Depends on amp draw average and driving style.
