I have had my Traxxas Bandit parked for a little over a year now, and have not had the batteries charged in just as much time. I went to take it out for a spin today, and after charging and discharging the batteries several times, the run times are very poor, the power is almost non existent or lasts for only a little while and peters out. So I am asking, is there anything short of buying new batteries that can solve this? I am running high end 7.2v Venom batteries @ 3600 mah

Sorry but it sounds as if one or more cells went bad. You will most likely have to invest in a new battery.

Yeah, those batteries eventually just get weaker and degrade in run time after a while. My 7 cell 5000mah pack is starting to give out now:( " Its also a Venom pack"

Darn.. thanks anyways guys.. My uncle had said he heard somewhere that if you tap the positive onto a car battery it shocks the crystallized corrosion out of place.. but that sounds too dangerous for my taste.. and Id rather spend $100 on a new set of batteries than $100,000 on a hospital bill... lol
