Looking to upgrade my high roller. Currently running the stock motor and speed control. I am considering going to a brushless motor and a better speed control. Have heard a few people say that's not a good idea. Any thoughts?
What about switching from the NiCad/ NiMh to lipos?
Kind of new to the forums and RC Cars. Just need some advice to make my HR faster without constant repair.:D

hi there,
the bad thing about the brushless is that it makes the truck WAY!!! faster and the poor little thing triies to become an air plane if...when...you lose control. it holds up well just you need to go pick it up often,...out of trees and stuff...lol,
diffenetly need to put a set of oil shocks to help control and you need to swap out ALL the electronics and servo saver to run brushless.
best bang for the buck would be to try just the lipo battery, get used to it, or addicted as some say, and go as you want from there.
i'm jealous,
i haven't got to see the high roller at the lhs yet, going to have to start ordering online!

Thanks RC.
After further research I think going to the lipo is the way to go. I am planning on upgrading the stock ESC. The specs on the stock ESC says 12RB. What does this mean? Need to know so I can figure out which ESC get for a 7.4v 2000 mah 20C Lipo battery.
