Are there any other mini sized servos that would be a good replacement for the stock servo (LOSB0822). I don't really need it to be digital, so would a servo from a Mini-T or Mini LST or something along those lines be a direct drop in servo? Or if I were to run a full size (I have a few laying around) would I need to also run a BEC (trying to avoid running a BEC is possible)

Thanks for all the help!

I ran mine with out a bec. It ended burning up the stock esc. Had a Jr Z590m that i used. put in a new setup for comp and used a bec after.

I'm running a Hitec HS-5245 MG with great success.

When I first got it, the stock esc's bec wasn't enough to provide the minimum 4.8 volts to power the servo. Then the Novak Mongoose Crawler combo hit the shelves and I was able to bring the servo out of storage (at the time, I was researching external becs) and use the Hitec as it's maximum 6 volts. You need to get a high torque mini servo to perform at it's maximum. You'll be very happy with the results. I just don't see a full size servo on an MRC. Mine has the servo/LiPo plate which shares room on the front axle with the 2S LiPo.

Hello,
I have a MRC used it like twice.. But I want to start using it more.. I was thinking of
putting a 1:10th scale servo on her...

Wonderin if anyone put a 1/10th scale servo on their Mini Crawler?
Is there even a Servo Mount available that will let you do that.

lol I took a quick look at the MRC today.. I see the bolts holding the
servo mount on but there not screws.. are they bolts??
lol How would you take them off...

You sure... I looked at it again.. dont look like an allen wrench would work the tops of the heads are circles.. Tell me I have to take the front diff apart to take the servo plate off.

I figured it out last night. I got the allen wrench that came with and I tried removing the rear servo plat. But it would not move. In fact I think I striped it. I got fed up and removed the servo and tried to remove the front servo plate. And guess what it worked. Lol the factory must have put Loctite on the rear servo plate.
