We race on a slick clay track, indoor bullring type.
Rear bite seems to be a problem, does anyone make a soft rear tire for the mini late model? We are using alot of traction compound and it seems to help soften the tire, but new tires just spin alot coming off the turns.
I have gotten into the habit of rolling onto the throttle coming onto the straights, but this is tough to do in the heat of a race. We have to use treaded rubber tires(club rule- in an effort to keep them stock appearing).
Any suggestions?

What I typically use is WD-40 to soften the tire compound (being careful not to get it on the bead as it will kill the glue). Once the tire is softened up I run off a batter pack then clean the tires with Simple Green or Mean Green. Once you have all the dirt cleaned off the tires, spray them with a coat of SG or MG and let it air dry on the tires. This will make them tacky.
