using 14.8v lipo for starter box???

does anyone knows if i will be able to use a 14.8V lipo battery with the starter box that came with the 8ight-T 2.0 RTR?

I used a heavy duty velcro type system but both sides of it are plastic. No fuzzy stuff. It works great. Be careful though because no one offers a low voltage cut off for this type of application and the promise of "more use between charges" is not true! To avoid cooking your battery you have to top it off before every use! :rolleyes:That part makes their worth questionable.

I have a 5000mah 14.8v Lipo in my box and I will go for a month or two before recharging. Last time it took 2200mah charge..no need to charge every time;)

there Are cut off's you can buy...and as long as your motor starts easily and your not constantly stalling the wheel on the flywheel or a Hydro locked motor you can easily go a weekend of racing on a single charge....it all boils down to the User and how he uses the pack....also Mah...like David Wall said 5000mah is OVERKILL:eek: as far as starter box power...but like he said..2200 after i would assume 4 sunday's worth of starting aint too bad.
