i want to get the 1/36 10250kv xcelorin for my micro t. what im wondering is could i get the 10250kv combo and if the motors too powerful for my driving style, could i then get a lower rated motor eg the 8750 kv motor and use that with the 10250kv esc?

The ESC is the same in both combos, only the motor is different, so yes you can use the ESC with either motor.
