Hi Adam i'm from the Uk just bought a Toro Nero 21 standard engine .

Just would like your thoughts on running the engine in like:
run in as it is (needles),
tips,
what clutch for a dry or damp dusty fast track,
how many tanks are needed on idle before i start running around the track and once on the track how long till i can start adjusting bottom end and top end neddle??

Also and it a big one say you are ladding bottom end how with the top neddle and idle screw would you correct this.

I know its alot to ask but if any1 will know these answers its you.

Thanks Damien

Hy adam its Ronnie Miller i picked up a tero nero today and also bought a 9901 and 9853 pipe. I also got the 41021 and the 41020 header. which combo should be best when and why? Also what clutch set up for meaduim traction track. I got the turbo plug one so which glow plug should i use. I run nitrotane 30% fuel so my settings should be close to you so if you know what the settings are on yours that would be great. Last thing is what is a good temp to run that motor at it is about 75 degrees here now. Sorry so long and so many questions just want it perfect. thanks a lot buddy..

I haven't run the FMS engine.

I like the 9901 pipe on the Toro Nero engine. The pipe has more low-end more then the 9853. C6TGC plug. Two plastic with black springs and two alum. with green springs for buggy.

With the Toro Nero in truck, I use the 9901 pipe and 41021 header, 7mm.

Hi,

I'm sorry but seems my knowledge of English is not enough :(. What word Flush means? So what "1,5 turns from Flush" means...

I'm from Russia.

Flush is when the needle and the housing surrounding the needle are at the same level.

hey adam,
please help! i have a tero nero and recently last two races it keeps flaming out. seems to last about 3-4 minutes and dies. i watched your video regarding how to tune at rev. and noticed that i was about 1 hour to rich on both settings.the engine has almost to gallons in it and runs great unitl it flames out. i tried few hours lean and rich and still flames out. thought it might be my clutch so i bought new gold springs with metal shoes, also changed my fuel tubbing. but still flames out .run the steel flywheel with all metal shoes with gold springs, usually race at hot rod hobbies.

WEBERT- What plug are you running? I run the C6TGC. Try leaning the low speed needle and adjusting the idle. What are you current carb settings?

Hey Adam,

I asked this question in another thread, but never heard back.

How much run time do you get with your Toro in your truggy with the 7mm restrictor?

Also, do you run an exhaust gas cooler and does it help with run time? Do you have a pic on how you mounted it?

adam..i have my set up sorted now..losi efra2071 pipe.i finnaly got all the parts for the servo.now this is where im having troubles..the engine keeps stalling.?

what are the factory settings for the tero nero engine..iv lost the paper that come with it..the thing keeps on stalling and its very frustrating..heres pics of my set up..tubing look ok?

could it be my clutch as it seems to stall alot?

the engine has had 10 tanks through it but then was left for 3 months unused.it was running good on my hyper 7.5 but im using the losi clutch on it now that come with the losi 8 2.0.any thoughts on that>?

i changed it from my hyper 7.5 to my losi 8 2.0 race roller i bought 2 months ago...new pipe and tubing is different length and iv found now the engine isnt running right...im using byro 25% flue

i watched this a sec ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsGCOTyNMAw&eurl=http://www.neobuggy.net/modules/news/&feature=player_embedded#t=595 but was wondering what settings it is if u screw it in all the way,how many turns out?im asking this as iv lost my manual to the engine which has left me lost as i only been in this hpbbie a few months.

il go by them settings and see how i set on.i found this if its usfull for people

MyRCBox.com: We frequently hear people talking about “flush” needles settings. Do you have a tip to quickly adjust the carburetor or at least to set it back to the factory settings?

Adam Drake: With the Plus 4 the low speed needle should be flush to 1mm out from flush. The low speed needle on the Toro Nero should be 1mm to 2mm out from flush. The high speed needle should be flush to 1mm in from flush on both the Plus 4 and the Toro Nero.
