Has anyone tried other than buggy bodies on a buggy? Here's an HPI M5. Looks good but the front gets in the way when you jump, you have to cut it higher. Anyone tried a Tamiya M-chassis body on a buggy? Or 1/12 scale truck like Tamiya's Midnight Pumpkin? Or HPI Wheely King?

back in the late 80's early 90's it was very common to see all kinds of scale car bodies from makers like parma or bolink that looked like real 1:1 cars. They were usually mounted to buggies using long body mount posts screwed to the chassis from underneath. Many of them had front wheel wells molded into the body, but ther rear ones were intentionally left off so you could put the wells where you needed to fit whatever buggy it was going on.

I just ordered a Wheely King body and some long body posts. Lenght, width and height seems pretty close to what's needed. I'll fit it and post pictures of it when it's done.

Here it is. Fits perfectly, enough room for shock travel. Size couldn't be better.
