To start this is a less than 1 yr old Jr 9100s with a 3 yr warranty. I sent it back to Horizon because it started doing the famous twitch. I get a letter back from Horizon saying its not the servos fault it was mine because the throttle arm was rubbing against the servo. Im not going to deny that, but it was noticed less than a hr after I put in, I readjusted and it never rubbed again...... It also said in the letter as a one time couresy they replaced the servo for free. Also sent back the old servo so I could aleviate the problem with the new one. Wells heres what I got in the box. The old servo floating around in some paper and nothing else. Whats up. What should I do? Should I call Horizon or should I just start shopping elseware? Ive never had this problem with Hitec. Nor have any of my racing partners. I had to vent as this has really ticked me off.........

Did they put a new top case on it ? They twitch because the molding that holds center gears break when endpoint is not set correctly or after a hard hit or sometimes a bad landing on one wheel . I`ve only had this happen once and all I use are 9100 series servos .

Taken care of. A new one is on the way. And for the guy who said its got somthing to do with the top case isnt correct. Its the motors in them when they get older and have been over heated they dont center correctly. Thats why they twitch.....

Most common problem is from the molding in the top case that holds the center gears . JR even told me when I sent mine in .

Well here is my experience with horizon and JR. About a year ago I bought a 9100s and ran it for like 4 races and it started its twitching deal when there was no load on the tires. I went to my LHS and they showed me where the top case had broken out where center gear cluster pin sits in upper case so I bought a new servo case package for it. Started running truggy after that for awhile and just recently went back to buggy for a race and not even one complete night of racing and guess what, its doing it again. I decided that this time I was sending it in to horizon for warrantee and today I received it back with a note inside. The note made references to the problem was caused by everything except the servo being a POS. the list is worn out parts, overtightened or overloosened linkages, incorrect linkage angles, incorrect eyelet and grommet configuration, or some kind of shearing force to the model. They said although it was not a warrantee issue they would repair in the interest of customer service. Although I appreciate them repairing it, when and if it craps out again there will be a Hitec or some other brand of servo going into my buggy.
