So i entered this hobby 2 weeks ago with a brand new desert truck. Iwant to say it got me hooked i love it. Ijust picked up another brands used nitro truck and i have interference issues i guess with the transmitter. it is a am transmitter that takes different crystals to change freq.. i can start the truck but i lose electrics no steering no throttle control almost instantly . i have tried running it at a couple different locations with the same result. I wish it was like the dt i can run it anywhere withoout issue. Sorry this is about a unrelated product but any help would be great this is the only forum that i know of. also te truck ran fine when i looked at it no problem at all thanks will changing crystals correct this or can i buy the spectrum system and install it never to worry again?

You can buy a losi dsm receiver (part # losb0806) and bind to it using your desert truck radio. That way you don't have to purchase a whole new radio, you can use the one you have.

You will have to rebind it each time you switch vehicles.

Before that though, I would make sure that your receiver pack batteries are charged, or if they are AA's, put new ones in. The problem may be something really simple like that.

AM and nitro are never a good mix. It could be something as simple as low battery voltage in the radio or the cars reciever pack. IT could be a cracked crystal as well so I would change/charge the batteries like Alex suggested and if you have access to another set of AM crystals (any brand should work) change them out and see if you still have the problem.

A spektrum system will fix all your problems as well! upgrading to any of the spektrum radios (non kit versions) will give you model memories so you can drive both of your cars with one radio!

Any of these radios will come with another reciever and they will all bind with the kit reciver you got with your Desert truck!
