next year I'm gonna race, wanna find a brushless 8th scale buggy and a 10th scale sc circuit/group. I'm relatively new to this addiction and have been just figuring out how to tune them and make them go where I want them to.

Naw, I am too new and not active enough to think about any sort of racing. Plus I only own a Ten-T right now, so I don't think there's any class for that. I just hit the track for practice runs and enjoying something other than backyard bashing. There really is no comparison, like night and day. I remember when I went to the track for the first time last year. Was blown away at how much more fun it was to drive on an actual track.

I cant think of the last time i "bashed" in a field or parking lot. Racing's where its at, Trust me. Get out there as much as you can and get some good practice in and Hit up a Club race, There's normally a class for the newer guys that's pretty relaxed on what's raced. A 10T is close enough to a 4WD Short coarse that I would be Surprised if they wouldn't let you in on some Racing action.
Where in Alberta are ya ? Red deer, Edmonton or Calgary ?

I'm in Edmonton. I've only been to the track here once, but LOVED it! The only unfortunate thing is that the track is not covered in any way, and we've had a lot of rain this summer, so I suspect the track isn't accessible....hasn't had the chance to truly dry out. We haven't had 24 hours of no rain since about April I think. It's pretty disgusting.

Finally made it to the track on Sunday, and ran my Ten-T truggy for 3 hours with no issues! I even had a couple people show interest in it, and after letting a guy give it a try, he commented how surprised he was at how spirited it was for a 1/10 scale truggy. Ah, it was a good day.......*smiles wistfully* :D

Tim from London, Ontario here. 2 great hobby shops in the city and lots of RC guys in the area. We've got a few tracks here. "The Barnyard" in Stratford races indoor electric in the winter and 2 great outdoor tracks in the summer. One for 1/10 & 1/8 and an oval track for the Bajas. Also had a new track just open up in the heart of the city, much more casual just pay your $5.00 and run all day. Great spot for getting dialed in for big races.
