I am just about ready to throw my new xcelorin in the garbage!!! I have had nothing but problems with it, first the software and drivers won't work with my computer which has a 64 bit windows 7 programming, and now that I have worked past that it shutters when I accelerate and then I have no control of it, it speeds up and I can't stop it or turn it. If I am doing anything wrong someone let me know otherwise it is going to be a $150.00 piece of trash!:mad::mad:

I am having a similar problem, accept I have no throttle at all...... I hit the throttle and it stutters and slowly grind or slipping sound. Im not sure if it can be fixed or not?

I had problems with my brushless setup for a short while.

First Issue I had was the 64 bit installation issue. My work around was to grab my son's laptop running windows xp non 64 bit. once the install of the software was working, I still had the same issues you guys listed. I went back through the manual and read a part about setting the esc to the reciever. There is a button near the power switch. Hold down that button as you power up the ESC. The light on the ESC will blink rapidly. I might have the order reversed on the next step so please bare with me. Pull the throttle on your transmitter till the light turns solid, then release it to neutral. once it is a neutral wait a few seconds and the light will bilnk another color. Give it full brake till that light turns solid, release back to neutral. Once that is done you can turn off ESC and it will save the settings. Turn it back on and it should work fine. If not call horizon Hobby customer support (877) 504-0233. They helped resolve issues I have had in the past.

Good Luck

I don`t think your problem has anything to do with the brushless at all , from reading your threads about your situation . Sounds like you have a slipper and possibly a spur or gear mesh issue .

Madmike , have you tried reprogramming the ESC and make sure it is setup properly ? I have had the Xcelorin systems and they are great .

Any issues with a 64 bit PC is not an ESC problem . Just not compatible .

The problem has to be with the esc, I have reprogrammed it and check the gear mesh, I put it back together and tried to run it. I turned it on and sat it on the ground and accelerated slowly, the thing went to top speed and smashed my desert truck into the wall causing damage to the lower control arms, tie rods and camber rods.

ok guys for those running x64 based O/S's please try the following:

1. make sure program installs into program files X86 (this is the 32 bit file folder)

2. set it to run in XP compatibility mode

i am not saying this will work but it IS definately worth a try

Just searching online and it looks like your not the only one with 64bit compatibility issues. That's crap... I agree. But like said above, try running it in a compatibility mode and see if it runs. Let us know how you make out.

yes this is the only thing that they could try, i myself have similar issues with teh software for my venom pro plus charger it will NOT work at all with win 7 x64 however there have been people get it to work just fine on vista x64 (and here windows 7 wasnt suppose to have any problems ). i have experienced every issue with win7 x64 that people were saying was teh downflls of vista however i myself NEVER had an issue with vista at all. with win 7 i have ran into everythign from failing to instal, lock ups, freezing, driver corruption, max memory usage at idle, drivers not installing, software incompatibility etc.

good luck to those having the issues and i hope everythign works out for you, i gave up on teh pc software for my venom charger and just chalked it up as useless unless still running xp (which is due to be discontinued from MS support soon if it hasnt been already)

Bit of an old post but I thought I might add; I had problems when I first got my Xcelorin 13.5 combo set with it stuttering, to resolve this I got another hall sensor wire. Which sorted out the problem. Plus the one I got in the pack was about a metre in length so the new much shorter one fitted in the car better also.

I've been using the 1/10 scale Xcelorin 6.5 turn setup and haven't had a single problem from install to software setup. I'm using windows 7 and have no issues. Best of luck!
