i wash my rides off with a combo of denatured alcohol, simple green and wd 4 mixed together, in a spray bottle it works pretty good then blow it off with a air compressor, not sure of the exact mixture amounts but this combo works really well.

I'm very anal about cleaning my cars.
I use a spray on wheel cleaner and a brush, rinse of with water, blow of with air, and then WD40 and air to finish it off. Before that I take out the radio tray and engine, and clean them more carefully.

i got a sweet new tip not for speed but for cleanin that we all hate.... this works best for nitro.... Eagle one makes this new wheel keep clean, spray it on your car let is sit for 30 min before driving and the dirt, grime, and nitro fuel dont stick.... to clean air or just a light spray of water and its like new, the best part it last for like a month before you have to do it again

I hear some people are also using motorcycle and bicycle lubricants that are not supposed to attract dirt for items like chains.

I use white lightning lubricant on my road bike that is designed not to pick up dust. I actually just found it in the rc driver issue 70. Motorcycle chain was or dry film lubricant. The motorcycle chain wax is probably the same as what I use on my cycling bike. These repel dust. Here is a good dry film available at lowes: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=213197-39963-D00110101&detail=&lpage=none
I tried chain wax that i used on my triumph. If you dont do cleaning after every race, it does start to hamper performance. It gets real thick and makes everything seem to slide work slower.
