Has anyone used both the 17.5 and the 21.5 systems and how much differance is there between them? I would be using a 3S 1350 30C Losi LiPo. And a pinion between an 13-16 tooth.

The 17.5 system is pretty fast on 3S, even when geared down. A lot of our local comp guys like the 17.5 becasue they can use the wheelspeed to launch up vertical climbs. It takes a lot more throttle control to be precise with the 17.5.

I personally use the 21.5. It still has plenty of wheelspeed, but its easier to drive through tight spots in competition. If you're new to crawling I would definitley recommend the 21.5 system.
