Hey guys, I've got the Strike paid for, just waitin' on the release like the rest. Couple of questions for some of you that have had experience with it already.

1. Will the aftermarket bodies such as the Pro-line, J-Concepts, etc. that fit the Slash fit on the Strike without any major mods? (I would assume they will, but don't know extactly.)

2. Will the Pro-line or J-Concepts Rims (2.2-3.0) that fit the Slash, work on the Strike without major mods. I see that the Losi rims aren't available yet and I would like to get some rims here now to mount my Goosebumps on so they'll be ready to mount when the Strike arrives. (By the way, the goosebumps make a world of difference on my Slash).

3. Our little club has 12 Slashers that meet every weekend for some highly competitive, trash-talkin racing. I can't wait for the Strike to arrive to show them up. Should I go ahead and get the Ball Diff, and CV set? Will these make a noticable difference? I want every edge I can get but these items are a little pricey. But if they would give the Strike a little bit of performance boost, what the heck.

Our club is running everything stock except tires and we recently all switched over to the Komodo 19T Motor. Can't wait to get the Goosebumps and Komodo on the Strike and see if it can hang with 11 angry slashes. I am betting that it will !! Thanks guys

Slash tires will work on the rear only from what I am told. The fronts won't work as the rim has to except a bearing. The rims and parts should all be available at the time the truck is released since all the parts are on the same boat I am told.

If you have to run the truck stock then I would not think the Ball diff and CVD's will be legal? Both should help handling. A few of the team members have the truck and have been testing it a lot. We are getting them dialed in and I will post my setup before the truck finally gets released. Still testing some stuff out. We will be racing the strike at the Reedy truck race in the ROAR SCT class so wish us luck. The strike will be very competative in the slash classes and I think you will have a lot of fun bashing around with those guys. As far as bodies. I have not looked at any of the other bodies to fit on the strike so not sure. The clear strike bodies will arrive with the kits as well so you can get a clear body with your truck when it comes in. I got to race Keiths Strike last night in the open SCT class against a bunch of SC10's. The truck handled great and I was on pace with the leaders. Forgetting my transponder (since it wasn't mine I forgot it did not have a personal!) my second qualifier did not count so I had to start from the back and got into some trouble in the second lap. After getting through the first lap mess though I was on pace with the leaders who were running 10.5's so I was pretty happy with the truck.

Thanks Casper for your response. Were just a bunch of guys that get together and swap paint every weekend. Most dont know what ROAR is, lol. So we make the rules up as we go. Because of the low quality of the Titan motor, we agreed to switch to the Komodo. We do have 2 really good homemade tracks. Mine is around 600 ft. with some good jumps, my bud had to out do me and his track is now around 950.

I'll wait on the Losi rims and try those. I do hope one of the after-market bodies will fit. The Strike body still hasn't grown on me yet.

Do you feel like you can tell a big difference running the ball diff. and CVD's vs. not running them? I understand how the cvd's will help, but exactly how will this ball diff be an improvement over the stock one?

I will likely get both, but trying to figure if the gains are really worth it. Thanks

The gear diff is not really sealed so it is hard to control one tire from diffing out under power. The ball diff should give better traction as it will not as easily let the tire with the least traction get all the power and spin.

It should be an improvement. I have not put the hopups on my truck yet but driving Keiths was a huge improvement with those hopups. He was running 8th scale tires as well though so I am excited to try the CVD's and ball diff on my truck with SC tires!

I've installed the CV's the ball diff and the split six rims bow tie tires and all greatly increased my tracktion. I also did a thread on my sway bars (custome) you won't find them anywere else. still got some bugs but on the way to sway.
