I picked up a couple of 1993 vintage Losi vehicles from a friend. One was an XX buggy, and the other was an XXT CR truck. I was able to find the front bulkhead and servo saver parts on line, but I'm looking for a chassis stiffener and a couple of 88T 48P spur gears. I can't find any reference where another spur gear interchanges with a different tooth count. Anybody have part #s or sources of available spur gears? Also, what does the CR stand for on the XXT. One guy on ebay has a couple of "rare long chassis" XXTs. Is he blowing smoke or is there really a long chassis truck? Another thing, I modified the XX to take the XXT truck body. I saw another Losi that wasn't identified that had white body mount posts that screwed to a mounting bracket. Anybody have an idea what the part# is on the posts? Thanks for your help!

The truck chassis are longer then the buggy chassis so that my be what he was refering to?

Old spurs may be hard to find but you should be able to upgrade to the double slipper on the XXX cars and use current spurs. The original single slipper spurs I am sure are very hard to find these days.

CR stands for "competition ready". This was the full option kit as well as in the XX days ment the rear end had the toe in at the pivot block instead of the rear hubs which was a big change at the time. Something almost every car since has copied. ;)

Yes , the XX line trucks did have an option to run a longer chassis . It has been a long time but I think the regular chassis was labeled L and the longer chassis was XL .

That does sound familiar now that you mention it. I never ran the XX truck. I was into buggies a that time and did not get a truck until the XXX line.

Thanks for the replies. What parts need to be replaced to go to the double slipper? I don't suppose the Hydra Drive could then be used, could it? Were the spur gears different between the single slipper and the Hydra Drive?

I Think the single and the hydra drive used the same gears. No one uses the hydra drive anymore as tire are SO much better then when we used the hydra drive.

You need slipper pads. (2X)

I was perusing a thread in the Electric Truck Forum and found a link to a Kinwald XX with all the parts listed that I needed. RC Planet had it all in stock so it's on the way. My XX has the Hydra Drive and I'll keep it on for nostalgia's sake. I'll put the double in the XXT and use the spur gear in the XX. Thanks for your help!

The "CR" came with the longer chassis as well as the rear pivot block that gave the rear toe-in, it also switched from the velcro straps to hold the battery in to the bar, although you can still use straps.
