You may have noticed that we made a running change to our brake discs for the 8IGHT series of vehicles. LOSA3545 used to come as a phenolic brake discs. During our testing we found a new composite material that provides smoother braking action and less brake fading over long runs. Check out the photos of our new brake discs here.

I really like these brakes super smooth and consistant.
Also I put these on my Truggy and let a couple guys try my truck not telling them I had anything different then normal and both guys mentioned how much better my brakes are then their trucks. One was a Losi one was a Kyosho

All I have to say is they are far better then the old style brake pads. Way smoother feel to them and they don't fade. A++ to the development team!!!:D:D

I tried the new brake disks out this past Sunday and they are fantastic! The had alot more stopping power, were smoother than the older ones. They were also easier to adjust bias because they are the same size.

These brake discs are fantastic!!! from the minute I put them on my buggy and truggy I was very impressed how much smoother and more controlled the braking was. I have yet to have the brakes "hang up" or feel sticky; just very linear braking. They made an already awesome car that much easier to drive! :)

Are the new brake disc supposed to be loose on the outdrives or a little tighter? After racing do you just clean them with motor spray?

They are tighter and if fuel or oil gets on them, then yes, spray with cleaner.

When you say, "same size", do you mean same as the older ones or the front and rear are the same size? If the fr/rr are the same size, do you have to change anything in the car?

They are small front and back, you have to reset the gap between the calibers because the pads are a lot thicker.

So if there small up front, do I need to get a different set of pads that will work on a smaller disk, or will they work just fine the way they are?

how do they fit? there is almost no clearance between the front pad and the radio tray now

No you don't have to change the brake plates, you can't anyway the front plates are wider then the back ones. They come with a little instruction sheet telling you how much to re-gap the plates. You will be find and enjoy the better breaking you will get from these new pads.

Losi Racer they are thicker but not that much, I did dremel a little around that area already before I put these pads on.

I was at my local track earlier today and was just looking at the parts wall, and guess what? There they were, hanging on the wall and now sitting on my workbench. Looking forward to trying them.
