The latest version of the Xcelorin 8th Scale ESC firmware is now available for download. This update allows you to select low and medium initial acceleration and also fixes a bug that was affecting the brakes when the throttle profile was modified. You must use the latest version of the Xcelorin Setup Software, Version 3.0, to take advantage of the new initial acceleration settings. Be sure to uninstall any old versions of this software before installing this new one.

The firmware link just comes up as a really long alpha numeric line, nothing downloadable. :confused:

Right click on the link and select "Save Link As..." and it should save the file to the place of your choosing, or at least thats what I did and it worked.

I deleted the old version, installed the new version, and whenn I go to update in I get an error "Update Error 9" pop up. Did I do something wrong?

FYI this firmware has bugs in it - don't install it unless you have a copy of old working firmware that you can go back too.

I tried the old 2.0 firmware from that forum and it did not solve the issue of the locked brakes when in reverse. Did it solve it for you?

Firmware version 2.3 has been released for the Xcelorin 1/8th Scale Brushless ESC (LOSB9516). This version fixes braking problems linked to custom throttle profiles and running in reverse. Right click on the link below to save the file to your computer. Then use v3.0 of the Xcelorin Setup Software to update your ESC.
